You may notice your hair growing slower or even falling out after a perm has been applied poorly or your ends have been burned by a crimping or curling iron.

Keep your hair clean and conditioned. If you have oily hair you may need to wash it 2 - 4 times per week however do not over wash your hair. Be sure you use a good conditioner after each washing.
African Americans and those with curly, dry, or coarse hair may need to wash their hair less frequently because washing to often will strip the hair of it's natural oils which are necessary for hair to remain healthy and strong.
If you are over washing your hair you are striping it of it's natural oils which can cause breakage and split ends. Use the proper shampoo for your hair type.
Use Oils
It's a good idea to use oils on your hair and scalp before and after you wash it. Some oils you can use are:

- coconut oil
- olive oil
- avocado oil
- almond oil
Trim Your Hair When Needed
It is a good idea to trim your hair to remove any split ends. This will stop hair from splitting all the way up and also keep the hair healthy looking and strong.
